Usually I dont get to sleep in past 6am on a weekday, but after last night kickboxing class I just couldnt bring myself to walk up on time.
So I ended up getting out of bed @ 7am (an extra hour and 15 minutes from usual) and decided to take my time getting ready. I even managed to have breakie while getting ready, toast with butter and honey (nom nom nom!).
By the time I got out of the house and said bye to the girlfriend (who had the day off, I know how rude!) it was sometime around 8:10am I think. Driving to the station made me realise exactly how many school zones I have to drive through to get to my usual park, which ofcourse was taken so I had to park a little up the road.
Something that was on the plus side of going in late was that it is alot warmer walking to the station @ 8:20am then it is @ 6:20am. I only had to take one jacket to work with me today.
Finally made it to the station for the 8:30am train, when I got to the platform I sware I have never seen soo many people @ Hurstville station let alone on the same platform, then I realised that they all wanted to get on the train, my train :O.
A little after getting on the platform the train rolls up, comepletely packed. I managed to squeeze myself into the carridge, at this point I am cursing my body for not wanting to get up at normal time :(. When the train eventually grinded to a holt at Central station I had to once again squeeze myself out through the masses of people. Finally walking through the office doors at 8:55am, and from there the rest of the day begins.

So this morning I went to the dentist to get a filling.
Now I am man enough to admit that I am terrified of the dentist, havent been to one in close to 9 years now, and suffice to say I am now making up for that :(
The dentist I go to is a very nice man, he is also a qualified hypnotherapist, you man laugh, but he is good, even though my mouth is really bad, he explained to me how they will slowly over time fix all the damage I have done over the past years.
So first up was a simple clean, that was a few weeks ago now, where I was given gas (AWESOME TRIP) and had my mouth cleaned, the experience itself was a little scary but Dr Steve helped me through it all.
Today was a little more daunting though, as I asked to have the procedure performed without the gas (GASP!). He numbed the front right side of my mouth (top) so that they could put in the filling. Soon as I saw the needle my eyes started to scream, I think he saw this cause he told me not to worry and it will only be a quick shot of pain then I wouldn't feel anything.
After he used all these different tools inside my mouth the task was complete and I was free to leave, although my face is still a little numb I can eat food, only cold non-solid food for the next few hours as I may burn or bite down on myself and I wouldn't know till much later.

As of February 09 I have started going to kickboxing classes at K-Box Studios in Surry Hills, and in doing so have lost a total of 13Kgs over the past 4 and a bit months (which I am soooo proud of myself for achieveing).
My rountie for the week is as follows:
Monday: kickboxing after work
Tuesday: PT comes to office after work for an hours group session
Wednesday: Rest night
Thursday: Kickboxing after work
Friday: Rest night
Saturday: Kickboxing in the morning (10am-11am, sometimes 12pm :|)
Sunday: Practice running @ Olds Park in Mortdale
On the 27th June (2 Saturday's away :S:| ) I will be atempting to achieve a bronze grading, which is basically a test of your fitness level, if you can manage to pass it the guys at K-Box will allow you to participate in the sparing classes. The exam is extremely grueling, involving the following:
Saturday 27th June:
100 Squats
40 Pushups
40 Full Crunches
30 Leg Raises
20 Tricep Dips
60 second Plank
60 second Climber
30 second Tuck Jumps
2nd July:
3.6km non stop run around Surry Hills
Currently looking towards the end of the tunnel of a 6 week challange to get ready for the Bronze grading exam, have given up eating & drinking many many things, one of which I have surprising not missed, alcohol, but the biggest sacrifice I have made is giving up sugar in my tea/coffee AND not having any biscuts with my tea :(.
Going try and get some pictures of the exam, if possible want to take a video of the entire event.

Our team (Full of Win) ended up coming equal 3rd, considering there were 6 teams all up, 5 of which were regulars, I think we did pretty well :).
